TIERE LIBELLE AZURJUNGFER
Common blue damselfly (Enallagma cyatherigerum). Common blues are amongst the most abundant damselfly species in the UK. They grow to a length of around 3 centimetres and are found around water surrounded by lots of vegetation. The adults can be seen from mid May until the beginning of autumn, although individuals will only live as adults for around 12 days. Damselflies are predators of other insects, often catching prey mid-flight. They spend much of their life as aquatic larvae, where they feed off other small invertebrates.
