GREECE MAKRONISOS CONCETRATION CAMP
Former inmate Antonis P. (no surname available), aged 85, talks to visitors at the former concetration camp of Makronisos Island that opened its gates for the public for the first time on Saturday 30 August 2003. Some 100,000 prisoners were sent to this concentration camp during the Greek civil war from 1946 to 1949, hundreds of them were killed here.
