DEUTSCHLAND BERLIN MAUERFALL 1989
A new kind of tourism developed after the Fall of the Wall in autumn 1989. The former inner-German border became a magnet for tourists who brought hammers and chisels and took home pieces of the Wall. Those people were commonly called 'Mauerspechte'. (KEYSTONE/DPA/Andreas Engelhardt)
