USA FILM CHUCK JONES
Cartoonist Chuck Jones, the creator of Bugs Bunny, sits down for a brief interview during a tour of the Duke Primate Center on Friday, April 9, 1999, in Durham, N.C. Jones, 87, was visiting Duke University to speak to Matt Cartmill's class on animation, and he jumped at the chance to get a private tour of the Primate Center, the world's largest collection of endangered primates. After drawing animals for more than 60 years, Jones is an expert in anatomy and was fascinated by the similarity of lemur skeletons to human skeletons. He said he came to Duke because of a fan letter from Cartmill. (AP Photo/The News and Observer, John Rottet)
