The 'Billionaires for Bush' grassroots activists for the corporate elite hold a vigil for corporate welfare across from the United Nations headquarters in New York City during the Republican National Convention 2004. With slogans like 'Four more Wars,' 'Don't change Horsemen in Mid-Apocalypse,' 'Leave no Billionaire behind' and 'Corporations are People too' - and having spread to more than 75 chapters in the United States and abroad - Billionaires for Bush is one of the most visible of several political street theater groups around. Formed during the previous Republican Convention in 2000, the 'Billionaires' appear in full evening dress, loudly proclaiming their admiration for 'the best president money can buy.' The Billionaires' pre-election outreach has included a Billionaire Limo Tour through Midwestern and Southern Swing States, thanking tax payers in NYC for 'paying our fair share' and writing George W. Bush a giant greeting card (and presenting the swing state Ohio, giftwrapped) in honor of his birthday. The greeting: 'What do you give the man who's given us everything?' Answer: 'The election.'
