MOUNT EVEREST EXPEDITION 1953
Above Camp III at entrance to Western Cwm expedition members attempt to cross a big crevasse with the light metal sectional ladder that they took with them to bridge crevasses. This ladder was moved from crevasse to crevasse, exhausting work which has been made less complicated today by using more than one ladder. Alfred Gregory, 1953. Nepal.
