Authorities imposed curfew-like restrictions in old parts of Srinagar to prevent protest demonstrations against the heckling of moderate separatist leader, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, by right wing Hindu activists in Indian city of Chandigarh and also to thwart the proposed march of hardline separatist Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
