A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane arrives at Islamabad airport on Tuesday, 02 December 2003 to illustrate Pakistan and India having agreed to resume flights and over flights from 01 January 2004 after a two-years interruption. PIA flights will restart three days before Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee is expected to attend the 7 regional nations SAARC summit in Islamabad. Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf stated yesterday that he favoured the restored air links, to show that Islamabad was 'sincere in its efforts for peace in the region.' New Delhi is said to allow Pakistani planes up to Boeing 747 with a capacity of more than 400 passengers to travel to India. PIA will fly three times a week from Lahore to New Delhi and Back.
