According to a report by state media, the cost of a planned 170 KM maglev line connecting the cities of Shanghai and Hangzhou is likely to more than double the original estimate of 20 Million Euro per KM to 50 Million Euro per KM as measures to reduce impact on nearby residential areas have taken.
