epa01973781 Romanian students display pictures showing scenes from 1989 revolution while walking during a happening dedicated to the memory of those killed, at University square in Bucharest, 23 December 2009. Twenty-one students, born after 1989, from the Arts University wear two pictures each: one picture showing a revolution scene in black and white, and one color print showing the same spot after 20 years. The students marched in circle for one hour, the starting time being the time that Ceausescu's couple were leaving their offices with a helicopter. The exhibition realized by the artist Sorin Lupsa, and was named :'20 Years - In Memoriam - One Hour'. The most dramatic of the 1989 revolts against Communist regimes in eastern and Central Europe took place in Romania. More than 1,000 people were killed across Romania during clashes between demonstrators and forces loyal to ruthless dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. EPA/ROBERT GHEMENT
