The race course of the Mountain run begins in the mountain village of Gstaad at 1050 meters and ends up at Glacier 3000, situated almost 3000 meters above sea level. The Glacier 3000 race is a true challenge for all participants. The first part of the race is mostly run on even ground. Thereafter, the course gets steeper as the terrain goes from a soft forest trail to alpine hiking trails and finishes up by going over snow and finally over the glacial ice. (KEYSTONE/Peter Klaunzer)
