SUEDAFRIKA TIERE WAL
A Southern Right whale breaks the surface of the Indian ocean in False Bay, Cape Town, South Africa Saturday 17 September 2005. Despite the loss of a young Southern Right whale in False Bay earlier this week the species is recovering from commercial whaling at the fastest biological rate possible according to South African scientists from the Mammal Research Institute. Capetonians were shocked earlier this week to witness police euthanase a Southern Right whale using explosives. EPA/NIC BOTHMA
