A sign at the mountain station of the Jungfraubahn on the "Jungfraujoch" in the canton of Berne close to Interlaken, Switzerland, leads the visitors to the Sphinx-elevator, the tourist center, a camp for polar dogs, as well as an exhibition on the research station, pictured on August 10, 1942. The polar dogs have been used during construction of the railway for transporting goods and material and have now become a tourist attraction. August 1942. Die Polarhunde waren waehrend des Baus der Bahn fuer den Transport von Waren und Materialien im Einsatz und sind nun eine Touristenattraktion.
