SPAIN ANIMALS
epa03419954 A hooded seal (Cystophora cristata) is treated at the Center for Endangered Marine Species Recovery (CREMA) in Malaga, Spain, 03 October 2012. The seal used to live in the Arctic Ocean. It was found in the Guadalmedina River on 01 October and weighs only half of its recomemded weight. Members of the center said that the animal's condition is 'weak' but that recovery is possible although it is not yet clear if a return of the seal to its natural habitat will be possible.
