FRANKREICH ANTI AKW DEMONSTRATION
Anti nuclear demonstrators lay flowers in front of a picture of Vital Michalon and the nuclear power plant Superphoenix, to commemorat his death 20 years ago in Creys-Malville, France, 30 kms (45 mls) west of Geneva, Switzerland, August 2, 1997. Michalon died during clashes with French riot police, as thousands of protesters took part in rally against the decision of the French government to built the Superphoenix.
