During the shoulder season asylum seekers house in a repurposed vacation lodge, provided by the charitable organization Caritas, in Rigi-Kloesterli. At the moment of documentation, 14 out of 50 available spots were taken by asylum seekers from Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Iran. They study German and carry out domestic and cleaning work, or assist in the kitchen. In their spare time, they, for instance, play volleyball and get used to life in Switzerland.
