USA KU KLUX KLAN
There were about 300 people in all in attendance, about 50 to 60 robed Klansman-men, women, and children. Robert M. Shelton, Imperial Wizzard from Alabama, was the main speaker. An idea for a picture layout might be to show the different Klansman. Wives and lovers, husbands and oldsters etc., in an undated photo. Seven white horsemen came riding in to the meeting. They stopped and allowed some pictures to be taken. About 9:30 the ceremony at the cross began. The walking Klansmen circled the cross. They lit the torches and started walking around the cross singing while they walked. The horsemen rode around the cross also. The meeting was over by 10:00. It was well guarded by State Police, turned out to be very quiet. (AP Photo)
