GROSSBRITANNIEN LITERATUR HAROLD PINTER
Playwright Harold Pinter caused controversy at the Edinburgh Book Festival this year when he used his position to give few well aimed verbal punches at politicians and world leaders during his first public apperance since his ordeal with cancer. In the line of fire was Tony Blair for his views on Iraq and NATO for their bombing of Serbia. The long awaited talk saw the Book Festival's largest venue full to capacity as Pinter spoke candidly for the first time about his illness. (KEYSTONE/CAMERA PRESS/STEWART FERGUSON) === ===
