The Supreme Court in Britain on 14 June 2012 dismissed a request by WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to reopen an appeal against his planned extradition to Sweden on sex assault allegations, a spokesman said. Lawyers for Assange had requsted the move in response to a ruling by the court on May 30 that the extradition on the basis of a European arrest warrant could go ahead.
