RADIO FREQUENCY RESONANT CAVITY EQUIPMENT
Radio frequency resonant cavity equipment. Laboratory worker lifting off the cover of a radio frequency (RF) resonant cavity. This piece of equipment generates radio waves and can be used for a variety of purposes, ranging from MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scans, to new imaging techniques. Here, it is being used in a cell incubator. Possible uses include studying the effect high doses of radio waves have on developing cells. (KEYSTONE/SCIENCE PHOTO LIBRARY/HEALTH PROTECTION AGENCY)
