Georges Bonnet, French politician, Lausanne, Switzerland, 1932. Bonnet (1889-1973) with the French delegation at the Lausanne Conference, of which he was the leader. A prominent member of the Radical-Socialist Party, Bonnet was a member of the French Chamber of Deputies from 1924-1928 and from 1929-1940. In 1938-1939 he served as France's Foreign Minister. The Lausanne Conference was held between representatives of France, Britain and Germany to agree the suspension of reparations payments imposed on Germany by the Treaty of Versailles.
