The research project eJIT developed, in cooperation with other companies, this first competitive electric trailer. Volkswagen's Zwickau Factory and Porsche Leipzig GmbG will be the first auto manufacturers in Europe to deploy the electric trailer in actual logistics operations. The two electric trailers reach speeds of up to 85 km/h with their 280 kilowatts of continuous power and 320 kilowatts of peak power as well as batteries with a capacity of 144 kilowatt hours.
