CONJUGATED LINOLEIC ACID CAPSULE
Conjugated linoleic acid capsule. Fingers holding a conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) capsule over cow's milk. CLA is a fat found naturally in milk. Scientists at the Universities of Southampton and Reading, England, are testing whether CLA supplements can enhance the human immune system. As well as helping the body to fight bacterial infections, previous research suggests that CLA can act as an anti-cancer agent, by stimulating the immune system to destroy tumours. If its health benefits are proven, CLA levels in milk and other dairy products could be enriched. CLA levels in milk have decreased as fresh grass has been replaced by alternative cattle feeds.
