CHINA LANDWIRTSCHAFT TOURISMUS
epa04864528 (10/20) Chinese retiree Huang Liang picks vegetables in her rented plot of farm land at the Landiao Zhuangyuan or Blues Manor in Beijing, China, 26 July 2015. For 6,000 RMB per year, Blues Manor rent out a plot of land about the size of 30 square metres to people like Huang who lived in the city but wanted to plant and grow their own vegetables. As China develops and becomes more urbanized, farms around big cities like Beijing are moving away from pure agriculture to integrate more leisure and tourism activities to attract city dwellers wishing for a different experience.
