KANADA GEZEITEN
Canada, New Brunswick. The world-famous Reversing Falls are located where the St. John River enters the Bay of Fundy. When the tide is low in the St. John River, water flows into the Bay of Fundy; water in the bay is 14 feet lower than the natural level of the St. John. When the tide is high, however, water flows in the opposite direction. The plant standing above the falls is the Irving Pulp and Paper Mill. (KEYSTONE/Georg Gerster)
