I-LIMB PULSE BIONIC HAND RESEARCH
i-LIMB Pulse bionic hand research. This is the i-LIMB Pulse model, developed by the Scottish company Touch Bionics and launched in 2010. This model included enhancements such as pulsing grip strength and being made from aluminium for increased durability. Like its predecessor, the i-LIMB Hand, it has articulating fingers that are independently powered. The fingers and wrist are operated through electrodes detecting contraction of the user's remaining arm muscles (here, the researcher's forearm), a technique known as myoelectric control.
