IRAN FILM SAMIRA MAKHMALBAF
Acclaimed Iranian film director Samira Makhmalbaf, whose latest film 'At Five In The Afternoon', released April 2004, won prizes at Cannes and the International Film Festival of India. This is said to the first feature film to be made in Afghanistan since the fall of the Taliban. Makhmalbaf, aged 24, is the daughter of celebrated filmmaker Mohsen Makhmalbaf.
