This image may not be used to state or imply ESA endorsement of any company or product .Bubbles from Multiscale Boiling experiment (Rubi) on the International Space Station (ISS), an experiment looking at the boiling process. A temperature sensor seen to the left of the image, measures the bubbles temperature and a camera tracks the temperature of the heated area. The Rubi experiment is being carried out in space because the weightlessness allows for bubbles to form in slow motion and the bubbles formed are larger than on Earth. This research will help scientists gain valuable information on designing thermal management systems on both Earth and space.
