SCHWEDEN LITERATUR ASTRID LINDGREN
STOCKHOLM, 1986-05-05. Swedish author Astrid Lindgren sitting by a desk beneath a portrait of Selma Lagerof who was the Nobel Prize Winner for Literature 1909. Astrid Lindgren}s stories about characters such as Pippi Longstocking, Emil, Kalle Blomquist, The Brothers Lionheart, Karlsson-on-the-Roof, Ronia the Robber's Daughter and the Bullerby children are loved and read by children all over the world.
