DEUTSCHLAND GRENZOEFFNUNG DDR
Citizens of East Berlin queue up at inner-urban railway station Berlin-Friedrichstraße in the morning hours of November 10, 1989, in order to go west by S-Bahn electric train. The station had been one of the places of strict border controls by GDR authorities. On the eve of November 10 one of the East-German party leaders had declared in simple words that citizens of GDR would in future not face any restrictons if they want to visit West Berlin or West Germany.
