Die Rinderdaerme werden fuer die Produktion der Schweizer Traditionswurst Cervelat benoetigt, sind aber von der EU mit einem Importverbot belegt worden. The former director of the Federal veterinary office (FVO) is appointed by the "task force Cervelat" to reach clarification about BSE and cattle intestines and to state the nonhazardousness of Brazilian cattle intestines at the World Organization of Animal Health (OIE) in Paris, France.
