INDIA JET COLLISION
Firefighters search early Wednesday Nov. 13, 1996 through the smouldering debris of the Saudi 747 jumbo jet which collided in mid-air with a Kazak airliner cargo plane killing up to 351 people Tuesday Nov. 12, 1996, near the town of Charkhi Dadri, about 60 miles (100 Km) west of New Delhi. The Saudi jetliner was climbing after take-off from New Delhi airport when it collided with the Kazak plane coming in to land.
