Emil Zatopek is kissed by his wife Dana, after winning the marathon event at Helsinki, Finland, July 27, 1952 to cap an unprecedented triple victory in the distances. Zatopek also won the 5,000- and 10,000-meter events. His wife was the winner in the women's javelin throw. Emil covered the 26-mile, 385-yard marathon course in 2 hours, 23 minutes, 3.2 seconds to set a new Olympic record. (AP Photo)
