Bloody Easter Dublin ..Further down O'Connel Street from the beseiged post office the exchange of fire set buildings ablaze. At the back was Liberty hall ... Rebel headquarters, also under siege. at the far end of O'Connel street flows the Liffey, up which the British sailed a gunboat to bombard the rebels. as 50th anniversary touch ....somebody demolished Nelsons Pillar, the O'Connell street landmark from which this picture was taken in 1916.
