Border Patrol Agent shows his official issue gun. As the U.S./Mexico border becomes increasingly militarized violent incidents between the underworld that smuggles drugs and humans across the border increases and the tension builds up on both sides. In the Yuma sector border patrol has installed metal cages on top of their windshields because of the constant assaults with rocks by people on the Mexican side of the border. Recently, a Mexican national was shot and killed by a border patrol agent after he threw rocks at the agent from the other side. There have been more than 130 recorded assaults against border patrol agents this year alone. ..During the past decade, millions of Mexican and Central American migrants have left their homes and families, faced death on the journey to the United States and lived under the specter of criminality once in this country.
