PHILIPPINEN TAIFUN NESAT
Filipinos collect washed away materials after their shanty was destroyed by the storm surge caused by Typhoon Nesat's strong winds at a coastal village in Navotas city, north of Manila, Philippines on 28 September 2011. The death toll in Typhoon Nesat's onslaught in the Philippines rose to 18 Wednesday as the country began to clean up the destruction left behind by the powerful cyclone. Thirty-five people were missing, nearly 53,000 people were forced to flee their homes as the typhoon's heavy rains triggered floods and landslides, the Office of Civil Defence (OCD) said.
