GROSSBRITANNIEN MIKIS THEODORAKIS
Mikis Theodorakis, the world famous greek composer. Born 1925 and educated at Athens and paris Conservatories, he was involved in the resistance against the German occupation of Greece during the war, but then moved to Paris and studied under Olivier Nessiaen in 1953. From then on he wrote several successful songs including the ballet music for 'Antigone' in 1963, 'Love And Death' (1945), 'Five Cretan Songs' (1950) and 'Zorba The Greek' (1965).
