According to the latest forecast from the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) state weather bureau, a tropical storm (local name: Gorio) has entered the country's area of responsibility. The eye of the weather disturbance was located at 595 km east of Casiguran, Aurora province with a maximum sustained winds of up to 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 80 kph.
