INDIEN WRESTLING
In this Thursday, July 12, 2012 photo, an Indian wrestler takes a shower as others wait after a training session at the Sports Authority of India complex, in Bhiwani, 122 kilometers (76 miles) from New Delhi, India. India has hundreds of local academies for mud wrestling, which is an age old and a very popular sports of Indian villages. The academies also play a role to train wrestlers for the Olympics competed on synthetic mats. India, which has only nine individual medals to show for in the Olympics, has won two bronze medals through its wrestlers - K.D. Jadhav (Helsinki, 1952) and Sushil Kumar (Beijing, 2008).
