Eighties pop-icon-turned-garden-goddess, Kim Wilde. Kim was born in Chiswik, England in 1960, to father Marty Wilde, who was a 50s rock 'n roll star. Kim's first single 'Kids In America' (1980) became a hit on both sides of the Atlantic; from the debut album 'Kim Wilde'. She recorded three albums for RAK Records before she was snapped up by MCA Records in 1984. Kim released hit singles like 'Another Step (Closer To You)' and remake of 'You Keep Me Hanging On' (No. 2 in UK and No. 1 in USA). Kim became an international sex symbol. Other albums include: 'Another Step', 'Close', 'Love Moves' and 'Love Is'. By 1995, her musical style became more soulful, which was not well received by the public. From 1996-1997, Kim Wilde starred in the musical 'Tommy'. She later met and married Hat Fowler in July 1996, who also starred in the musical. They have two children, Harry Tristan and Rose Elisabeth. By 1999, Kim realised her love for gardening and took up a gardening course. She has presented several gardening programmes on TV including 'Better Gardens', summer garden shows and now has a regular slot on 'This Morning'(ITV).
