SCHWEIZ ZERMATT BAHN
The restored historic tramway stands on the Riffelalp above Zermatt, Switzerland, Thursday, June 21, 2001, in front of the Matterhorn. The highest tramway in Europe, 2222 meters above sea level, has been reopened Thursday after a break of 40 years. The over 100 years old tramway had cessed operations in February 1961, after the blazing fire at the Hotel Riffelalp above Zermatt. Now this special tramway will once again travel in style between Riffelalp station and the new Riffelalp resort 2222. (KEYSTONE//Sacha Bittel)=== ELECTRONIC IMAGE ===
