SCHWEIZ SWISS AIR LINES ANDRE DOSE RUECKTRITT
Andre Dose adresses the media to give reasons for his resignation from his post as chief executive of Swiss International Airline, on Wednesday, March 10, 2004, in Zurich, Switzerland. Dose vacated his post after becoming entangled in an investigation into the crash of a Crossair jet near Zurich airport in November 2001, that left 24 people dead. A report by Switzerland's Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau last month blamed the crash on pilot error, but also criticised shortcomings within the airline, which was being managed by Dose at the time. In a statement released on Wednesday, the carrier's board said chairman Pieter Bouw would take over Dose's responsibilities with immediate effect. (KEYSTONE/Eddy Risch)
