A view of the palace of justice secured by military forces on the day of the proclamation of the verdict of the Nuremberg Trials, in Nuremberg, Germany, October 1, 1946. At the end of World War II, the International Military Tribunal was established by the USA, Britain, France, and the Soviet Union to indict and try former Nazi Party leaders as war criminals.
