BRAZIL PANDEMIC CORONAVIRUS COVID19
epa08521623 Members of the Yanomami people in the Surucucu region, Alto Alegre municipality, Roraima state, Brazil, 01 July 2020. The coronavirus has entered the largest indigenous land in Brazil and has already killed at least four members of the Yanomami people, including three babies. In the states of Roraima, bordering Venezuela, and Amazonas (north), the Yanomami villages are located deep in the Amazon jungle, in an area of nine million hectares - a surface similar to that of Austria - with just 28,000 inhabitants.
