Ford's Theatre, Wash., D.C., between 1860 and 1880. Site of the assassination of US President Abraham Lincoln on 14 April 1865. Originally built as the meeting house of the First Baptist Church of Washington, John T. Ford bought the former church and renovated it into a theatre.
