On view is a snow covered street in St Moritz, canton of Grisons, Switzerland, where the Winter Olympics in the year 1948 took place. On January 30, 1998 it's been exactly 50 years since St Moritz conducted the 5th Winter Olympics. the Swiss male and femal athletes won at the first Winter Olympics after the Second World War three gold medals, four silver medals and three bronze medals. For the anniversary of the games in St Moritz we offer you the following picture: Happy visitors, three years after the end of the war, on the way to one of the three competition sites.
