The French fashion house Dior has suspended its creative director of 14 years, John Galliano, after he was taken into custody by the police in Paris on 24 February 2011, and accused of assaulting a couple and making anti-Semitic insults following a drinking session at a Paris bar. Sidney Toledano, president and chief executive, of Christian Dior Couture, announced that has been suspended from all duties during a police inquiry.
