The astronomical phenomenon annular solar eclipse crossed China in the afternoon of 15 Jan 2010 which is the longest annularity of the next 1,000 years that are visible in some areas of Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Shanxi, Hunan, Hubei, Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu and Shandong provinces as well as Chongqing municipality in China. The path of the annular solar eclipse began in central Africa, crossed the Indian Ocean to reach the southern tip of India and moved on to Southeast Asia, ending in eastern China.
