IRAN PROTEST PAPST BENEDIKT XVI
Iranian clerics and seminary students gather on Sunday, 17 September 2006, in Qom, 135 kilometres south of the capital Tehran, to protest against what they called anti-Islamic remarks by Pope Benedict XVI. The participants condemned the pope's remarks as contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ of genuine peace, kindness, forgiveness and peaceful coexistence of religions.
