TURTLE X-RAY
MODEL RELEASED. Turtle x-ray. Marine biologist holding up an x-ray of a loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta). X-ray examinations are carried out as part of a series of tests to check the turtle's health before it is released back into the wild. These turtles are tracked using transmitters and the information is used by scientists to aid turtle conservation. Photographed at the Anton Dohrn zoological station in Naples, Italy.
